Your WordPress connection

Download Office Launcher for this computer to use Send to Word and import open documents from staging. Standard Word downloads also work without it.

Each Studio user has a separate WordPress site and login. Administrators and publishers can manage these from User profiles. Connect the exact site that should receive this user’s stories. Saved passwords are encrypted and are never sent back to the browser.

Create a dedicated application password. On a self-hosted WordPress site, open Users → Profile → Application Passwords and name it “ACJ Editorial Studio V6.” The account needs permission to edit posts and upload media.
Enter the connection below. Use the public HTTPS site address (without /wp-admin), the WordPress username, and the application password. A dashboard sign-in alone does not connect Studio. WordPress.com sites use the Automatic connection option.
Test, then send a draft. Test connection saves and checks these settings. Open a story → Publish → Send draft to WordPress. Review it in WordPress before making it public.

WordPress.com Automatic connections can use your account password when two-step authentication is off; with two-step authentication, use an application password. Self-hosted REST connections require an application password. WordPress authentication guide

Cloudflare API firewall (optional) Use a firewall token

Use the custom header and token supplied by your site administrator. If the rule permits only Azure, test this connection in Azure staging.

Cloudflare Access (optional) Use Cloudflare Access

Enable only when Cloudflare Access protects the API itself. A token for the WordPress login page does not replace an API firewall token.

Stored securely for this user and site. A separate browser-challenge rule may also need your site administrator's attention.

Default transfer status

The core API transfers the headline, byline, story formatting, featured image, caption, alternative text, categories, tags, SEO slug and excerpt. SEO title, description and supported social fields are sent to compatible WordPress.com/Jetpack or Yoast fields. The transfer receipt lists what WordPress confirmed and any unsupported fields.
